Julie Cannon - Sales Co-ordinator
My career started at Ilott Advertising (which became Ted Bates Advertising) in the media department. I loved this role but the radio media was my real passion. I then moved to PRISM (Private Radio Industry Sales & Marketing) where I stayed until I left the workforce to become a Mum. When my children were at school I then spent the next 10 years working part time managing a business school where we trained students in Accounting. My role as a Sales Co-ordinator at The Radio Bureau is very varied and exciting, I never knowing what the next email is going to deliver! The pod system that TRB has set up is fantastic as we work in teams but we have the knowledge and skills to back up other pods when needed. It is great to be back working in the radio industry where we strive to fulfil our client’s objectives. As a Sales Co-ordinator we have daily contact with the stations and media personnel with our main goal being to try and make everything flow as smoothly as possible. The Sales Co-ordinator role can be very full on with promotional and materials contacts all needing attention at the same time - the key to surviving these times is often the helping hand of other Sales Co-ordinators. The knowledge and skills of the staff are amazing and there is always plenty of support. The Radio Bureau is a great place to work where we get to work hard and play hard with a great group of people. |
