Friday, October 31, 2008 Newstalk ZB Number OneThe Radio Network today reported that Newstalk ZB is again the most listened to radio station in New Zealand, with 448,500# different listeners. This gives Newstalk ZB a market leading, 12.9%* share of listening in New Zealand according to the latest radio survey released today by Research International. “Newstalk ZB has cleaned-up in this ratings round” said TRN chief executive John McElhinney, commenting on the latest results. “Newstalk ZB has delivered an outstanding result driven by the success of Paul Holmes with a number one national breakfast share of 17.6%^ including yet another number one in Auckland, number one in Wellington and number two in Christchurch”. “We thank the over 1,400,000# people who choose to make TRN the most listened to radio company in New Zealand” said Mr. McElhinney. TRN now has a 47.3%* share of all radio listening.
