Radio News from Cannes 2007

New Zealand reinforced its reputation as a hotbed of creativity in June when it once again beat Australia at the 2007 Cannes Lions - despite only having half as many entries.

In attendance at the awards were TRB’s 2007 Grande ORCA winners, James Bowman and Tom Paine from Ogilvy, with their Coca-Cola Amatil L&P ads. James and Tom explained that although “the international judges didn’t appreciate the Kiwi subtleties” of their L&P campaign, they “saw a lot of other amazing work, heard some interesting thinking, and – of course – celebrated big time.” They also took this great shot for us in front of the red carpet!

Amongst the multiple top honours that were awarded to New Zealand agencies, was a Silver Radio Lion picked up by TRB’s 2007 People’s Choice Winners DraftFCB, for their Prime TV “L Word” campaign.
